About

Hi, I’m Maria and I’m a PhD student at CASA UCL in the City Modelling Lab.

I’m studying the social and spatial inequalities in transport, especially in the context of the UK’s EV transition through the twin climate and inequality crises. I have a particular focus on car dependence and transport flexibility. I have a particularly strong (negative) feeling towards SUVs in cities. In former lives I played classical flute, studied physics and worked as an energy consultant in a Big Company. In current life I’m a (very) amateur forager, nature enthusiast, climate activist, cryptic crossworder and vegan baked goods enjoyer.
